tubeclip
TubeClip

TubeClip is a tube clipper plugin for Mac and PC. One job: more level, more weight and more warmth from a mix, a bus or a track, with a ceiling that is the ceiling, and without the aliasing every other clipper lets through.

TUBE picks the stage — CLEAN, a knee with a few odd harmonics; TRIODE, a long warm tail of harmonics; PENTODE, crisper, odd harmonics and punch. DRIVE is how hard the programme hits it and the CLIP meter shows by how much. GLOW lifts the body of the waveform by up to 9 dB with the peaks untouched, FAT drives the lows harder into the tube and restores the balance after, so you get weight without mud.

CEILING is the level nothing exceeds, sample peak or, with GUARD on TRUE PEAK, inter-sample peak as well. The ceiling is held by a 0.7 ms look-ahead guard that never re-clips, so nothing folds back into the band. MIX blends it in parallel, time-aligned; OUTPUT trims after everything; MATCH holds the output at the input's loudness so you compare tone, not level; DELTA plays only what the clipper takes away; AUTO walks the drive to a loudness target.

Behind SETTINGS: knee, bias for even harmonics, silk, iron (an output transformer before the tube), oversampling from 1x to 16x, a separate rate for renders, M/S with side drive, and the guard mode. Every control fades, every switch lands in silence, latency is reported exactly.

Formats: AU, VST3 and AAX on Mac (universal — native on Apple Silicon and Intel) · VST3 and AAX on Windows. 14-day fully featured trial.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0844/4189/1052/files/tubeclip_0958785c-3e79-4475-84b2-d6a5d75bda55.png?v=1791878747
