Software License Agreement
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This agreement is between you and Desert Moon Audio ("we", "us"). It covers every Desert Moon Audio plug-in, its installers, presets, manuals and updates (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't install it, and contact us for a refund under our Refund Policy.
1. What you get
The Software is licensed, not sold. When you buy a plug-in (or the Everything Bundle) we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual license to install and use it, for any musical or commercial purpose, on up to four computers that you own or control at the same time. You can move a license to a new computer by deactivating it on an old one.
An Everything Bundle license covers the plug-ins available on the day you bought it. Plug-ins released after that are not included; bundle owners can buy them at the discount shown on our site at the time.
2. Your music is yours
Anything you make with the Software (recordings, mixes, masters, samples you create) belongs to you. You owe us no royalties or credit.
3. Free trial
A free trial gives you the full plug-in for 14 days from the first time you open it, for evaluation. When the trial ends the plug-in stops processing until you enter a license key. Resetting or extending a trial by any means other than buying a license is not allowed.
4. What you may not do
- Share, publish, sell or give away license keys or the Software, or let other people use your license.
- Copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
- Get around the license or trial checks, or help anyone else do so.
- Rent, lease or sublicense the Software, or use its presets, impulse responses or audio as a product of your own (a sample library, for example). Using them in your music is fine.
Licenses can be transferred to another person only with our written approval. Write to us and we'll handle it.
5. Updates
Updates to a plug-in you own are free for as long as we develop and distribute that plug-in. Updates are covered by this agreement. We may change, improve or stop developing any product, and we don't promise compatibility with future operating systems or hosts, though we try hard to keep up.
6. Activation and privacy
Activating a license makes one internet check that records your license key and a machine identifier, so we can count seats. After activation the Software doesn't contact us. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Warranty
Please use the free trial to make sure the Software works on your system before you buy. Apart from the rights in our Refund Policy and any rights you have under consumer law where you live, the Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, sessions, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Software, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Ending this agreement
This agreement lasts until it ends. It ends automatically if you break it, or if you receive a refund for the license. When it ends, uninstall the Software and delete your copies.
10. Third-party names and code
VST is a registered trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. AAX and Pro Tools are trademarks of Avid Technology, Inc. Audio Units, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Other names on our site and in our products belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility or sound; no affiliation or endorsement is implied. The Software may include third-party components under their own licenses, listed in the plug-in's documentation.
11. General
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer law where you live says otherwise. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. This agreement, together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, is the whole agreement about the Software.
